Truth, Justice, and The American Way … OR … God Bless the UIGEA!

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

I just read Linda’s feeling of being abused by the Feds. It is a pretty common view for many of us that partake in the relaxation of online poker. I wish she was right; but, I don’t believe she is even close to the real problem. (more…)

The blog everybody is writing at the moment

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

Well, two Canadian Hippies did the snowbird thing to exclusive U.S. Resort areas. I think next time they’ll find the Bahamas will allow them to use a more extensive wardrobe. Their current one is an orange jumpsuit. As a result, NETELLER HAS WITHDRAWN FROM SERVING U.S. CLIENTS. (more…)

The Big Show

One can sit at a table for a long time before seeing what another player holds. Amy wrote about a situation where a player wanted to see the other player’s muck and the Tournament Director — who the players should have carried around the room on their shoulders — denied his request. Poker VS Internet

Monday, January 8th, 2007

This was inspired by CC’s friend Katitude. I played CC’s bash (lasted late but no cigar) and noticed she had connection problems. She had a couple of those dread timeouts. Stars reports a percentage value for connections so I watched for a while as her stats fluctuated between 25 and 75 while the rest of the table was reporting 99-100%. (more…)
