The 8-9 hand: Ouch

Change100 always gives us a hand history that doesn’t get consensus. I applaud that. And, yes, that sucking sound of his 2 outer was louder than that of the Roto-rooter guy’s rig.

If you are going to gamble, the worst feeling is doing it after you let the guy draw on you and hit. So, Absinthe‘s comment deserves center stage. I have more self-flagellation about my head and shoulders over such moves than a devote Shiite on a holy day. You waffle in your betting and the poker pixie is left giggling and high fives the shuffle goddess.

My experience is that I and others can get silly as the bubble approaches. For various reasons we decide that now is the time to make a hand. When it works we feel great. But, the law of averages says that when we play marginal hands we will see marginal results.
