And, with current fuel prices, that is a good thing, Martha. If you play poker, that is also a very good thing.

He just sent me another hand history file to peruse. Now, I hate hand histories because I find them hard to read. But, he’s an interesting player so I struggle through them.

You can play poker in a lot of ways. You can mix the games as I’m doing these days. You can play tournament. And, a very small group can play 5-10 NLH well like Fuel55. They are all different approaches.

So, I went through some of the hands he sent. In his overly modest manner he titled the set: How to triple up in 100 hands: A Clinic, by Fuel55. I like that attitude. If you don’t have it, you should be playing at the limits I play at.

It was 100 hands. Most of the time his action showed a vanilla game:

  • get A5s in early position: fold

  • get 56s in late position: fold

  • have a crappy hand on the blind and see a probable steal: fold

Now put him in a blogger tournament and he’d be Captain Inventive with the swishing cape. But, this isn’t a game he’s playing with T-chips. He’s looking for tournament mentality players to sit. Those folks that learned from Sexton that
