It seems to be break even time here — compliment of FullTilt where I’ve been felted. Tilt has never been kind to me. I am marginally up overall compliments of Bodog and Ultimate Bet. But that is in the just barely category. I won’t put money back on Tilt without seeing some bonus and they haven’t been doing that. UB does have bonus availability regularly and Bodog just let me exchange player points for some cash. (more…)

I arise this morning – always a good sign – to see that WSOP play continues. These days, I wouldn’t be able to do what they’ve done with their all nighter. So, my optimistic view is the best I can go for is 2 out of 3. Health isn’t bad it is just not what it once was. Our friend Felica Lee is in a worse boat. Please send her a get well card. (more…)

I see from CC’s blog that 2+2 is again on the warpath. This time the topic is Pokernews. Well, 2+2 is owned and visited by Puritans – those holier than thou types that threw witches in the river to see if they were witches; they floated, they were witches or they were pure and drowned. Either way, they always manage to kill the accused. (more…)

Well, I am watching the bubble. And cowardice rains supreme. Some, namely pros, are the gamblers here. I can see the reason that it is playing out that way. I like to think I’d be the dangerous player but I’d probably be as big a wimp as the next guy. (more…)

Poker’s New Year’s Eve approaches. It seems our calendar ends the year when the ‘real’ bracelet gets awarded. Those who stay home on New Year’s Eve tend to sullenly refer to the event as ‘Amateur Night’ and I’ll go for the cheap shot here too.

Horse isn’t a great home if you like to chase. You can pretty much play the rock here and have more success than the norm. Yes, you can occasionally be ‘inventive’ at the tables. Some players are easy reads without a gear shift in their arsenal. But, chasing is not the way to go most of the time. (more…)

I guess that describes me. The WSOP is close to a non-event for me this year. I just can’t get the juices flowing like those pros running from table to table playing like they are online limit grinders with multiple tables running. (more…)
