I qualified and played in the freeroll Friday night at Full Tilt Poker. I’m not really sure why. It is at the end of October and I don’t have a passport and probably couldn’t get one in that time. Well, there’s always the $1500 that goes with the tournament ticket.
I went out about 40th with the blinds and antes getting nasty as we approached the end of 3 hours of play. I was never able to build a really nice stack. At the end of the 2nd hour I was 39th and that’s about where I hung until I had to start gambling. I didn’t get the cards to do that well.
The game started in happy donkey mode. I was the only live player at my table. So for the first hour I was clicking the raise button and stealing the blinds. It was only going on the end of the first hour that I ran into someone who could play back. We finished off the last of the zombies and the table filled with players. I recognized the one from my play at TonyG’s site. He plays as Gnoby and TonyG used him as a bounty bonus in the tournaments. Decent guy. Fellow slightly above average player. He made me the extra $25 a few times.
The player on my right was called Frotsey or something like that and writes for PokerNews (Slovenia) and we got a decent chat going. I thought ‘F’ was a very loose player and was glad to have her? (blond chick avatar) on my right. She? was a very aggressive player. Got to me a bit early as the first live player to show up. Nicely got to her later as my read improved; but didn’t get as many chips off of her as I was hoping for. I love players like that at the table
