Scalping Update

CC did a nice review of the facts and there is an article up on our main page and then Linda covers it. I didn’t want to beat too much on the situation but it is certainly a current issue and looks to remain that way long into the future. There are two seperate situations. To some degree, it is a good new <> bad news issue. Who’s at fault? Once again, lay it at the feet of our elected officials. (more…)
I was talking about PokerTracker’s evaluation of my play. It classes me as L P/P and the icon for that is a fish. JB has mentored me a bit on stud. He was insistent that I raise with premium hands. I accepted that as gospel. I wasn’t running PT at the time but I did find it was -EV. (more…)
Sunday, I made a turkey breast. It is supposed to have something in it to make you sleepy. I slept through the start of the tournament and even felt drugged waking up. So, my sure winner status saved a place higher for all those who placed, I base that not on my superior skill but the law of averages. I haven’t seen a final table since TonyG sent me packing. The carnivals and fairs always had a fun house in my youthful world. Most cost a dime to go through. There would be a floor that jumped and jiggled around; a barrel rotating on its side; a blast of air for the girl’s skirts. All that and more for one, thin dime – the tenth part of a dollar. (more…)
The poker forums and sites are buzzing with the news that Full Tilt Poker has suspended at least two accounts and refunded a good size group of players who played against those accounts. Their reason for doing so was that they identified the accounts as being ‘Bots’. (more…)
That changeover takes place at the 1 year mark. Today is the 1 year mark for this blog. Mother Linda has nurtured me these 12 months. I looked around the Net nurture sites for advise for her bringing me up; the obvious one was that I should be kept away from guns. (more…)
Yes, it is all about position. Whether it is the original defining text or one masquerading under the name Super System II or such — position can mean everything. (more…)
