I seem to be on a word kick. So, here you go again, compliments of Wikipedia: Angst is a Germanic word for fear or anxiety. (more…)

Stud’s Bonus

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

I again played a bit on two .50-1 tables and managed 11 BB off one but left almost 5 on the second table that broke up with me still looking for a profit. I’m ‘playing up’ to try to clear a last $19’s before the end of the month wipes out the remaining bonus. (more…)

Stud Thoughts

Monday, November 12th, 2007

It been a while since I tried to do a Stud article. In that time I’ve played it most days and usually several sessions. I can’t really figure out if I’m doing better or worse. I’m trying a lot of different things. I’ve seen a lot of variance that doesn’t really seem part of my varying my game. Or at least it doesn’t nearly account for the variance. (more…)

I actually feel sorry for them. About the only difference in the lot is the globular sizing on display and the various tint jobs. (more…)

I want to KILL that Mother…

You are sitting at this nice table. You’ve got a great comfort level going and you’re up a nice number of big blinds. Its been a session where you haven’t had to make a lot of hard or close decisions. Then the maniac shows up and that turns on the maniac gene for one or two of the guys you’d had donating to your cause. DAMN! (more…)

Charming Betsy

Our former colleague and Pokerworks’ friend, Michael Craig has an interesting blog out that you should read. My blog is a jail house lawyer’s view of the UIGEA scene; while Michael is the real deal. [Insert your favorite lawyer joke here.] (more…)

Another Season of Friends

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

There are online friend. Such friendships are fragile. I haven’t met a single one of the people in person that I call friends. Some don’t even know I consider them such. The government wants to stop those and has tried in some pretty shabby ways that leave us with a truly bad taste in our mouth. These online friends play poker. (more…)
