I don’t normally post hand histories. This one doesn’t even call for a lot of comments. But, it was finally my turn. I’m more often the poor bastard with Kings full.

Take a look at Chunzy’s stack. He’d been on fire. Plays every hand and was a suckout king. He’d bet with ugly boards all the time and winning/betting really ratty two pairs or doing the runner-runner thing. He was down to $20 when I pulled up stakes up about a buyin. I typed in that he reminded me of Will Rogers but I don’t think he caught my reference.

The table was loose as a goose. I only caught a few hands and finally left in disgust. At least this time I didn’t hang around to give it back. Yesterday, I had a similar situation and didn’t do it as well. One thing about Stud: if you don’t like variance, it isn’t the game for you. While RAZZ is worse, it isn’t by all that much.

Stud is often a game that isn’t so much what you win as what you don’t lose.

I typed in “Tuff 1″ in the chat and really meant it. But, I confess I loved the moment.

ADDENDUM:

You probably recall that the search engine sites recently settled with the DOJ on advertising poker sites. They admitted no guilt but gave away a pile of money. That brought the jackals out. One of the class action firms smelled blood and filed on behalf of those poor suckers in California that enjoyed a bit of online poker. They thought they were getting off cheap with the feds but just opened the door to worse.
