Harrah’s is no more

At least the public version with audited everything. Last night finished the company’s public front. No need to expect major changes or any form of reporting. Their first announcement was that they would invest and additional 4 Billion in the property. There is no indication where those funds will travel. It might be used to prop up their overseas presence.

Harrah owns 40 casinos as they drift from the lime light. That includes a London presence along with their major Las Vegas holdings. Their London holding make go on the block to get a piece of Rank Group. They’d tried to buy them earlier and failed. This might be their back door into the company.

Don’t expect lowered rake at the WSOP or catering to their poker business beyond current activity. Poker isn’t the revenue cow against the other profit centers.

ADDENDUM:

Yesterday was one of those days from hell at Stars for me. Every good hand was running into a better one. The tables were very loose and playing the 3 downs came to be the norm. I dropped down to about 200. Today, was an early repeat then it got better and the session netted me almost a double up.
