If you get email from the U.S. Facing sites, or read our articles; you’ll have seen that the latest way to deposit is using the very bank accounts that the UIGEA wants outlawing such transactions.

We’ve been through a number of alternatives to the loss of Neteller, By and large those alternatives came with a healthy commission. I tried one early on and got nailed with double digit percentage hits on the ol’ bankroll. That’s a rough way to kick off one’s play on any site.

The new system may not last long but it sure looks like they are drawing a battleground against the backdrop of the latest Barney Frank Finical Committee hearing that said the banks could not control these kinds of transactions. I don’t know if the hearing were the chicken or the egg in these proceeding. They did emphasize that the banking system was at a loss in figuring out ways to stop ACH transactions. If you aren’t a banking groupie, that stands for Automated Clearing House. Putting the emphasis on Automated gives us the gist of what the committee heard for a couple of days.

It is looking like all the UIGEA has accomplished after a year and changes is to cut out the middlemen like Neteller and those pirates that tried to fill the vacuum it left.

I didn’t need to but I gave it a go at PokerStars this morning by depositing a hundred-bucks. That is a first time limit for the day but that jumps up to $600 after 10 days. You can do about the same on Full Tilt.

After making the deposit, I had the money ready to lose at the tables in seconds. I get a popup limiting me to withdrawing no more than $2500 in a 72-hour period. I can live with that. LOL
