The following was posted in an online poker forum. It evidently wasn’t important in the mind of Alex Scott on PokerStar’s staff to inform players in general. This is a major change that impacts all players and 2 plus 2 is hardly an acceptable vehicle for informing their players about such a change. (I know this is a long post but please stick with it.) My latest Stud book is by Ray Zee. (Won’t destroy its dignity by naming the other two.) I’ve been struggling over how to play Stud as you are all too aware. I supposedly see too many flops and am not aggressive enough. That has been something I’ve fought over everything from MMT’s on down or up – however, you wish to frame it. Yes, Weeze; I want to talk about moving on up. Glenda has touched on it in discussing her play trying to outdo Chris Ferguson. Her experience is a lot like mine of late. She’s just the better, more experienced stud player. (more…)

It is a basic tenant relating to our quality as human beings. But, integrity doesn’t necessarily apply at the poker tables; nor is it a cause for admiration. Still, believability is what will often separate us from the also ran. (more…)

That’s a common greeting. It is also a bit of confusion as I tried to get a handle on just how good or bad a stud player I am. I have even bought Poker Tracker for Stud and still don’t have a good idea. Although, I have a lot more statistics.
