I had liked the Colts as well, but as we were leaving the house for a Super Bowl party, I put the iPod on shuffle. The first song that came on was “Are you Ready for a Miracle?”. After that, came a song from Aaron Neville, born and bred in New Orleans. Then, one from the Neville Brothers, his family. Then, to top it off, another version of “Ready for a Miracle”. Now, I have about 3,000 songs on my iPod, and only a handful have any particular relationship to either New Orleans or miracles. I took it as a sign that the Saints would come marching in, and sure enough, they did! Another terrific game, and wouldn’t it be great to be at that parade, which one sportswriter said “would make the Mardi Gras look like two kids pulling a wagon”. People are not going to be sober down there until Lent.
