Shifting Gears

A brief side-note: I’m glad to be here. Twenty four hours ago I was doubting that possibility due to a head that was ringing like I’d just left the bell tower Notre Dame at high noon and a body that was barely responding to the futile commands of my brain.

I don’t know what it was – but for two days, well, let’s just say that particular hell I’m not eager to return to any time soon. Today, I’m wondering if I imagined it. Perfectly normal and ready to head on.

And where am I heading?

I’ve decided to change things up a bit and see if I can learn a new trick. I busted out my copy of Super System and cracked open to the chapter of Stud. I’ve got a few dollars on Full Tilt and plan to stick strictly to stud for a while.

Hold em holds no interest for me online. Live – certainly. Once you play live, it’s hard to go back to it on line, in my humble opinion (however I’ll make a quick concession if we ever get to play on Party Poker again…).

Online, however, is a great place to learn a new game. While stud isn’t new to me, it’s nuances and strategies are. The times I’ve dabbled in it online, I’ve hovered around break even. My goal, obviously, is to find out how one can make some money in this game.

I’ll keep you posted.

And did I mention? I’m glad to be here.

Stud Hi is the greatest game ever, as long as I win.

    What Otis said.

I’ve been playing some Stud on line too, mostly Hi/Lo though. If I can build my FT roll up a bit more, maybe I will see you there.
