Doyles Room review

Doyle Brunson's personal online poker room, aka Doyles Room, in my opinion, is one of the better rooms on the Net, but not the best out there. Although ran by a professional, Doyles Room is still somewhat messy considering the look and the software. As soon as you install and run the game on your PC, the Doyles Room lobby strikes you as one of the worst you've ever seen; moreover, seeing the table is truly a painful experience – the cartoon look of the room just doesn't remind you that you're playing poker seriously and that large sums of money is at stake. A more serious approach at the Doyles Room's graphics platform would be really appreciated. The crappy graphics aside, everything else at Doyles Room seems good enough, or at least the chance to play with Doyle Brunson himself is. The Doyles Room bonus system is OK, but there are better ones on the Web. Actually, I found Doyles Room to be an average poker room – nothing exceptional, but nothing too horrible not to play here. But it was only a month Doyles Room kept me interested, and now I play at another online poker room.

The fact that Doyle Brunson poker room is managed by two professional poker legends, Doyle Brunson and Mike Caro, grants Doyles Room a good amount of popularity, but the true picture is not as good as it might seem. I would love this site so much more if all the big tourneys weren't rebuys. There are a ton of people on there who will blow $200 on a tourney with an $18 entry fee, and will go all-in until they catch. That's not poker, and that's what you'll find in most of the big tourneys. While a decent number of people play there, it's only 1/10 the number that Party Poker gets.... read further
