DoylesRoom review

I've signed up for DoylesRoom about 2 months ago, and I've grown to like this room for its colourful graphics and excellent DoylesRoom tournament variety. The site is really well-designed, except for the lobby – it is a bit hard to navigate through all the mess which DoylesRoom thinks to be a lobby. Other aspects of the DoylesRoom software are really good – the graphics are appealing and colourful, and the user interface is neat and easily understandable. The DoylesRoom support staff really know their job well – not only can you chat with them “live”, they actually answer your questions quite proffessionaly. Even though DoylesRoom excels at the software and support level, this site has a disadvantage DoylesRoom bonus system lacks some good promotions and game variety. The deposit bonus is only 25%, and DoylesRoom freerolls are not exactly free, although their prizepools are quite hefty. And you can only play a couple of variations of poker – Texas Hold'em and Omaha. It suits me, but fans of other games, such as 7 card stud, are overlooked.

The fact that Doyle Brunson poker room is managed by two professional poker legends, Doyle Brunson and Mike Caro, grants Doyles Room a good amount of popularity, but the true picture is not as good as it might seem. I would love this site so much more if all the big tourneys weren't rebuys. There are a ton of people on there who will blow $200 on a tourney with an $18 entry fee, and will go all-in until they catch. That's not poker, and that's what you'll find in most of the big tourneys. While a decent number of people play there, it's only 1/10 the number that Party Poker gets.... read further

Doyle Brunson's personal online poker room, aka Doyles Room, in my opinion, is one of the better rooms on the Net, but not the best out there. Although ran by a professional, Doyles Room is still somewhat messy considering the look and the software.... read further
