Background
With customer support available in 15 languages (including French, Japanese, German, Italian, Portuguese, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Dutch, Spanish, English, Polish, Greek and Finnish), Everest Poker is one of the first online poker rooms to be multi-national and multi-lingual.
Everest has come a long way since its launch, growing into one of the largest poker rooms in the world with some 10,000 players logged in during peak hours; that is an incredible showing considering it’s a standalone poker room and not connected to any of the bigger networks.
Everest Poker has won numerous awards over the years, including "Poker Operator of the Year" and "Hotshot Operator of the Year" at the 2007 eGaming Review Awards. Not only that, Everest Poker won the "Poker Operator of the Year" for a second consecutive year in 2008, and then followed that up by winning CAP Best Poker Affiliate Program in 2009. As if that wasn’t enough, the room won the 2012 iGB Award for Best Affiliate Program — Poker.
Limits and Rake
At Everest Poker, you will find both Texas Holdem and Omaha. Games range from micro limits – $0.02/$0.02 up to $10/$10 for No Limit Holdem; $10/$20 for fixed limit; and $1/$1 for Pot Limit. Omaha starts at the same micro limits as Holdem and then steadily increases up to $20/$20 for Pot Limit and $30/$60 for fixed limit.
The rake at Everest Poker is similar to the industry standard. The size of the rake is based on what limit is being played and how many players are involved in the pot. At Pot Limit and No Limit tables below $0.10/$0.10, the rake is $0.01 per $0.20 in the pot with a cap at $1 for two to three players, $2 for four to five players and $3 for six to 10 players.
Above the $0.20/$0.20 level, Everest Poker takes $0.05 per $1 in the pot as rake but with the same number-of-players cap listed above. For fixed limit at its lower levels, the Everest Poker rake is capped at $0.01 for two to three players, $0.25 for four to five players, and $0.5 for six to 10 players. For games above the $0.10/$0.20 limit, the rake is capped at $1 for two to three players, $2 for four to five players, and $3 for six to 10 players.
Player Traffic
Everest Poker is established as a highly respected poker room. For an independent room, not connected to any network, Everest Poker has a huge number of regular players. When traffic is at its peak, you can expect to see more than 10,000 players at the tables.
With so many players at the tables you’re sure to find a game in a matter of minutes. With great promotions running constantly at Everest Poker, you can expect to see the number of players increase even more.
Playability
Everest Poker uses innovative and exciting software, giving players a first-class online poker experience. With the high number of players and promotions, Everest Poker will keep you entertained for hours at the virtual felt. If you’re looking for an online poker experience that offers you plenty of options, then Everest Poker is the place for you.
Software and Extra Features
Grand Virtual Software has produced the software for Everest Poker, developing an elegant design with easy to use filters and functions that are kind to both pros and beginners alike. The lobby has a wide range of filters that are easy to use and allow players to find what they’re looking for with just a few clicks.
- Changeable Table Size – This function allows players to change the size of the table, making it easier for them to multi-table. The tables are available in sizes between 640x480 all the way up to 1600x1200.
- Unique Background and Table Rotation – Players can choose from 12 backgrounds, from exotic Asian locales to plain black, minimalist backgrounds. In addition, players can rotate the table in these various backgrounds and position their avatar to a first-person perspective.
- Built-in Statistics – Within the lobby, players can see such table statistics as “Average Pot Size,” “Hands Dealt/Hour,” and “% of the Players seeing the Flop.” Once on a table, players can also see various stats on their own play, such as how often they are raising versus calling versus folding, and how often they are folding on each street. In addition, hand histories can be easily downloaded onto the player's hard drive.
- Multi-Lingual Chat – At Everest Poker, players can chat in their own native language without having their hands slapped by the poker manager. In addition, players can choose to detach and expand their chat window, for an even more complete chat experience.
- Training room – New players can learn the ropes by playing in any of Everest Pokers’ training rooms.
- Fold and Show – A useful function for players who aim to show their opponents how they play or simply use this function to throw them off.
- Best Hand – Not sure which hand is the best? Place the cursor over your hole cards and you will be given information regarding your current hand.
