That's my title for my current blog. What it doesn't say is that evaluating the play of others is often facilitated by how and when people bluff. It truly seems a window to a player's soul.
The are any number of tells that we can use playing online. Certainly the player's average participation is a huge tell. But, I think I get more from the perceived bluffs than participation.
We classify players as Tight or Loose and then as aggressive or passive. One can be a successful loose player. It is harder to be a successful passive. When you mix the options for play, the easy play is against the loose-passive.
When I started playing I had most success against those loose-passives. Tight passives are almost as easy. But, the loose aggressive is often the one that pays you best. It is a different play with all of them. Too many of one or the other really makes the table interesting. But, we need to be able to get that read on aggression and that is where the bluff often defines how we'll play a table.
Anybody want to discuss that? Ken Prevo
