The biggest tournament to ever hit the world poker scene is starting tomorrow at the WSOP - the Big One for One Drop - with 48 players confirmed for a $1M buy-in.
We remember Rick Salomon, not for his accomplishments in the game of poker though. Salomon is a film producer that produced and starred in "One Night in Paris" with Paris Hilton...yes...porndoggie!
Salomon is also mentioned in the celebrity poker game mire that found Tobey Maguire and others being sued for their poker winnings from Bradley Ruderman who was found guilty on an assortment of fraud charges that are the equivalent of a massive Ponzi scheme.
Salomon dove into the shark infested waters of rescuing Pamela Anderson from her $25,000 poker debt (Anderson says her driver played when she left the table and LOST - go figure). She kissed Salomon, he paid her debt, they got married. Ain't Hollywood and poker awesome?
But it's over now; annulled after two months.
When we hear the name Rick Salomon, we rarely associate it with the game of poker, but he associates his name with poker to the tune of a $1,000,000 buy-in in the Big one for One Drop. Salomon is #34 on the confirmed players' list.
