Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi has put Giorgio Medici on the list of "players who don't pay" and is outing Medici to the world according to sun-sentinel.com.
It started the end of May when Medici gave Mizrachi 5-to-1 odds that Mizrachi would not win a WSOP event. Mizrachi took the bet for $20,000 – he would win $100,000. Collecting on the prop bet hasn't happened.
When Mizrachi won the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, Medici gave Mizrachi the bad news, he couldn't pay him and he had filed for bankruptcy.
Mizrachi is listed in Medici's bankruptcy papers under "unsecured nonpriority claims." The other side of the getting-stiffed sword has a deeper cut, Mizrachi had already sold off $9,50 in shares of his Medici bet to his friends.
“So I was on the hook for $47,500,” he said. “Of course, I paid them.”
