Two Korean monks from the Jogye Order have been fined for illegal gambling and drinking by a South Korean court.
The fines came to Two million Korean Won which is $1,775 each.
Back in May we reported on the scandal that rocked the foundation of the Jogye Order when a video was released of the monks in a lakeside hotel playing poker and drinking. Six of the monks have since resigned.
The monk that filmed the poker party and the engineer that helped set up the camera managed to receive suspended prison sentences for the damage done while breaking into the room and installing the camera.
