Cheating at WSOP

The allegations of cheating at the 2015 WSOP erupted on the TwoPlusTwo forum when Connor Drinan posted about Valeriu Coca's tournament play.

The event in question was the 2015 World Series of Poker $10,000 Heads-Up Championship and Coca managed to beat Matt Marafioti, Pratyush Buddiga, Aaron Mermelstein, Connor Drinan, and Byron Kaverman before losing to Keith Lehr in the Round of 8.

Drinan "felt Coca played absolutely perfect against him — folded when he had it and applied pressure when he didn’t."

The whole incident is under investigation by the WSOP officials. Read that report here.

Coca was contacted by PokerNews.com that spoke to him through an interpreter as Coca played in a cash game inside the Pavilion Room.

"This is a fantasy," he said, laughing. "The players who lost are very good, so they just don't believe they could lose to me for an honest reason."

Coca took fifth in the event and he believes the accusations against him are 'sour grapes.'

Read Coca's response here as told to PokerNews.com.
