Washington State Continues Personal Freedom Vendetta

Washington state officials have struck again - making internet poker a Class C felony six weeks ago wasn't enough - now they are after the payment processor, Secure Money, and are looking to seize $553,000 from the Canadian based company. A cash-out was requested at Ultimate Bet Poker (UB) in July 2009 and a check was paid through Secure Money in the amount of $200 to an undercover federal agent.  Shame on all seven Washington state residents for even wanting to play poker online.  And the nerve - requesting a cash-out.

EPT Vienna Largest Austrian Event to Date

The European Poker Tour's latest stop in Vienna has 278 players left trying to make the money tomorrow where the payout starts at spot 80.  Of course they are all vying for 1st place which is €700,000 out of a prize pool of €2,935,000. Still in the running for top money are Tom "durrrr" Dwan, defending champion Pascal Perrault, Daniel Negreanu, and Boris Becker.  The police tried to convince local leaders to cancel the event but the tournament went off as scheduled.
