Arnaud Mattern, French backgammon champ and 2005 Gutshot Poker Masters winner picked up his first EPT cash in striking fashion, winning the PokerStars European Poker Tour in Prague. Mattern came from behind when heads-up play began to capture the title from Gino Alacqua in a brief but exciting heads-up match.

The PokerStars European Poker Tour Dublin E8,000 Championship kicked off yesterday with 89 runners at the Royal Dublin Society, including top Irish pros like Conor Doyle and Andy Black. The local favorites were joined by top American and European players like Erik Seidel, Brandon Schaefer, Bertrand ‘ElkY' Grospellier, Julian Thew and Dario Minieri.

The stars were out for Day 2 of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Baden event, with top names like Patrik Antonius, Ram Vaswani and Thomas Wahlroos returning for their shot at the €670,800 top prize. Sander Lylloff kicked off the day with the chip lead, but he would end the day as a railbird, as the first two levels provided nonstop action for the players and spectators.
