It should be no surprise that Everest Poker players and qualifiers did well at the 2008 World Series of Poker, but one of them did exceptionally well in the main event. Sylvian Coeur was a French online qualifier who proudly displayed the Everest logo as he reached 140th place in the biggest poker tournament on the planet.

Everest Poker did everything to give their sponsored and qualified players the best WSOP experience available. With the VIP lounge set up to offer Everest players a place to relax, discuss poker, and learn more about live tournament poker, it seemed to be the best lounge at the entire WSOP. Not only were meals, leisure activities like video games, and televisions available for players and their friends and family, but poker experts were on hand to give pointers and assist players with their WSOP experience.

With that, Everest Players seemed to feel right at home, despite being in Las Vegas and at the WSOP for the first time. A total of three players made it through the massive main event field of 6,844 players to reach the money. Daan “Krul” Slutter of the Netherlands finished in 603rd place for a $23,160 cash, and Kim “Icebeer” Wooka from Japan made it to 530th place to win $25,090. Both amateur players are part of Team Everest.

But it was Sylvain “Jolicoeur” Coeur who went the furthest and survived all the way to Day 5 to finish in 140th place. For his first live tournament experience, he won $41,816 and memories to last a lifetime!

Players qualify for seats in the biggest and most prestigious live tournaments around the globe every day. There are consistent opportunities available to play in satellites and qualifying tournaments for very little money and win trips around the world.
