Plenty more action has taken place at the Full Tilt Online Poker Series as events #4 through #7 havefull tilt - ftops come to a conclusion. First up, Friday’s Event #4 was a Pot Limit Hold’em tournament with buy-ins of $200 + $16. Marco Traniello was the host and the 1,076 players buying-in helped exceed the $200,000 guaranteed prize pool to the tune of $215,200.

By the end, “EMSBas” showed Pot Limit supremacy in taking first place and the $48,420 that came along with it. Full Tilt pro Scott Fischman, who cashed in the first event, continued his steady play by finishing 45th which was good enough for another cash.

Event #5 immediately followed #4 and was a $200 + $16 Stud Hi/Lo Limit game hosted by Jeff Madsen. Just 645 players bought into this tournament as the low turnout was expected given that only $100,000 was guaranteed.

But the prize pool quickly became $129,000 and 1986 WSOP Main Event champ Berry Johnston was one of the final people competing for $27,735 of it. But it was not to be for Johnston as he came in fourth behind “nimbus”, “dman13”, and the winner of the nearly 28K, “voguepergola”.

Dario Alioto had the honors of hosting Event #6 which kicked off Saturday. The $500 + $35 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha game had 6-max tables with the total prize tally being $318,000. The number of players who entered was the lowest of any FTOPS VIII tourney yet at 637.

Two Full Tilt pros cashed in this tourney as Lee Watkinson got 33rd while Scott Fischman made a run at the final table before going out in 12th. The action at the very top saw “mmmadd” beat “scatterbrain123” in heads-up play to take the $68,477 top prize. For second place, scatterbrain123 made $44,908 which wasn’t a bad consolation.

The last tournament on Saturday was Event #7 and it turned out to be the second biggest one thus far as 1,811 people paid the $100 + $9 entry fee. The large number of players buying-in to this No Limit Hold’em tourney featuring re-buys ran the prize pool up to $552,700.

Dutch poker pro Jorn Walthaus (playing as “jornx”) was able to defeat a very talented field in this tournament that included second place finisher “Sebop”. Walthaus made off with $102,249 while Sebop’s finish was good for $63,007. Full Tilt pro Erick Lindgren, who won an event in last year’s FTOPS, nearly did so this time too as he took 13th place.

Events 8 and 9 get are taking place today so make sure to check back for the next FTOPS report.
