Full Tilt Fever: FTOPS IX Starts August 6th
It is perfect timing. The ninth installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) is set to begin just weeks after the end of the 2008 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. After a summer of live tournament poker action, players can continue what will hopefully be a time of relaxation and take part in FTOPS IX from the comfort of their homes.With each new set of FTOPS tournaments, Full Tilt seems to outdo itself. The series began in August of 2006 with eight events and a $1 million guaranteed prize pool for the series. In May of 2008, FTOPS VIII was comprised of 24 events and awarded more than $15 million in prize money. The upcoming August 2008 FTOPS is scheduled to host 25 events and will guarantee more than $15 million in the total pool. It gets bigger and better each time!
Each of the 25 tournaments will be hosted by a designated Full Tilt Pro, and included in the line-up of events will be shootout and knockout tournaments, at least one HORSE event, a two-day $2500 tournament, and the main event which will guarantee $2.5 million in itself. Besides the cash money that will be awarded the top finishers and winners, each player who makes a final table will receive a limited-edition FTOPS jacket, and winners of each event will receive said jacket, a gold FTOPS jersey, and a gold jersey avatar to be used on Full Tilt Poker.
Now is the time to start earning your way into the FTOPS tournaments through the numerous qualifiers on Full Tilt.
