Harrah’s Finalizes WSOP Main Event Schedule
WSOP Media Director Nolan Dalla announced the latest logistics for the World Series of Poker Main Event, including specifics of play for each day. As reported earlier, there will be four Day 1's. Each of these days will start at noon, and play will proceed for six levels. Harrah's will limit Days 1A, 1B, and 1C to push players to the newly announced Day 1D if required to balance the number of players for each day.
Players surviving Day 1A and 1B will come back on Day 2A, and Day 1C and 1D players will convene at Day 2B. Again, play will start at noon and will move through six levels. Dinner breaks will be 7:30-9:00 each day. Day 3 will have all survivors in the Amazon Room, and players will play through six levels. Day 4 will repeat the process, but Day 5 will play down to 36 players regardless of how long it takes. Day 6 plays down to a Final Table of 9 players, and players will have 16 July off. The Final Table will start at noon on 17 July and play down to a winner.
Players can register until 9 July at the end of the first level (approximately at 2:00 PM). This also means that the final prize pool and number of entrants will not be known until then. Harrah's officials have not provided any estimates for the Main Event, and little will be known until Friday's start.
