Excitement is building as the second PokerNews Cup is getting geared up to hit the historical city of Salzburg in Austria. Hosted by the beautiful brand new Concord Card Casino, this much anticipated event will be held from April 23rd through April 27th.

On February 4th, Bodog Poker began a campaign to qualify at least 120 players for seats into the $10,000 World Series of Poker main event that will take place on July 3, 2008. The satellites and tournaments will run through June, giving players plenty of opportunities to qualify.During the month of February, three seats will be awarded per week.

Titan Poker has crowned their top Canadian player. The new poker king holding the scepter is 22 year-old James "JGSCORE" Galvin of Halifax, Nova Scotia.Galvin’s victory occurred in the Top Canadian tournament, which was held on January 13th on Titan Poker. After playing on Titan Poker for just over a year, Galvin defeated 28 other finalists in the six-month tournament schedule.
