When the second season of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) kicked off in Macau on September 1st, it set out to be the largest poker tournament ever held in Asia. With the 538 players who entered the $3200 main event, it did just that. The PokerStars.net-sponsored tour made its mark on the international tournament circuit yet again.

The Legends of Poker series at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles is the first time that many pro poker players return to the tables after a post-WSOP break. Vacations have been taken, bank statements have been balanced, and the excitement for tournament poker has returned. And with that, players came to Los Angeles for the $10K buy-in World Poker Tour Legends of Poker main event.

The vibe at the Bicycle Casino was one of a reunion. When the players descended upon the Bike for the WPT Legends of Poker $10K main event on Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th, many of the tournament circuit regulars had not seen each other since the World Series of Poker ended over a month prior.

When the World Poker Tour wrapped its sixth season of tournaments with the WPT Championship at Bellagio in April, players received a break from the WPT while the World Series of Poker played out in Las Vegas. But just as the WSOP main event began to hit its stride, the WPT came back with its popular Bellagio Cup.At the 2007 WPT Bellagio Cup, a total of 535 players bought in to the $10K event.

Sunday saw the conclusion of one of the most eventful Full Tilt Online Poker Series ever. And it all started with a historic event as something happened that Full Tilt has never seen in the 8 years of the series.The bit of history didn’t go down at the Main Event though as it occurred during the two-day No Limit Hold’em tournament known as Event #21.

Full Tilt Poker's FTOPS VIII is coming to a close with the Main Event taking place today. Many players decided to take advantage of the opportunity to make some big cashes before Full Tilt’s 8th annual online poker series ends.1,294 of these people attempted to cash in at Thursday’s No Limit Hold’em 4X Shootout event that had the tables set at 6-max.

The 8th annual Full Tilt Online Poker Series is two-thirds of the way finished and there are more exciting events and big winners to talk about. Event #12 was the first of a three event Tuesday and was a No Limit Hold’em tournament with 1 re-buy and 1 add-on offered.
