Shannon Elizabeth is no stranger to poker, having honed her skills over the past several years and proved herShannon elizabeth abilities by making it to the semi-finals of the 2007 NBC National Heads-Up Championship. She became an officially sponsored player when Mansion Poker offered her a deal she found too appealing to turn down.

Elizabeth began her trip to the 2008 Aussie Millions on her own dime, despite being offered free accommodations by the Crown Casino if she would promote the tournament. She declined the offer for reasons unbeknownst to the media. But within days, she accepted the offer to represent Mansion Poker along with poker pro Marc Goodwin. The two announced their deals at a morning conference on Monday, January 14th.

The actress, who has made a name for herself in poker circles over the past several years, has numerous cashes on her resume. Most prominent was her $125,000 cash for her third place finish at the aforementioned National Heads-Up Championship, but she also made quite a splash at the 2006 World Series of Poker where she cashed in three events. She had one cash at the 2007 WSOP.

While Elizabeth’s experiences in poker have been primarily in the no-limit hold’em realm, she has recently been widening her range. She showed that she has some skills in seven-card stud just last summer when she cashed in eighth place at the stud event at the 2007 Victorian Poker Championships in Melbourne.

Integrating herself into the poker world, Elizabeth has become friends with pros like Clonie Gowen, Antonio Esfandiari, and Jeff Madsen. She seems to have found a certain comfort level in the poker community, and her determination is greater than ever to show her ever-growing fan base that she has what it takes to win.

The serious poker player in her won’t have it any other way and Mansion Poker recognized that and welcomed her to their team of pro players.
