For the third year running, Nancy Cartwright is planning for the ever-popular Monte CarloPALS Monte Carlo Night Night at her home in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. The evening of September 20th will be full of activities, including food, dancing, a live auction, and the celebrity charity poker tournament, all to benefit the LAPD Devonshire PALS (Police Activities League Supporters) new youth center for at-risk kids in the L.A. area.

The voice of Bart Simpson, Nancy Cartwright concentrates a great deal of time on giving back to her community, and the third annual Monte Carlo Night is one of the ways she does so. Teaming up this year with Poker Committee Chairperson Jamie Gold, the two will be hosting the event this year with dinner, an open bar, entertainment, dancing, raffle, casino games like blackjack and roulette, and auction prizes.

All of the festivities are open to the public for the price of a donation to the cause. The poker tournament will be the focal point of the evening – a Texas no-limit hold’em buy-in event, wherein the top five finishers will receive a seat to a future World Series of Poker tournament. Tickets are available for $500 per person, which includes entry to the function and the tournament, or $250 per person for those not interested in playing poker.

The line-up of attendees at last year’s event looks to be topped by the 2008 Monte Carlo Night, with the celebrity guest list already including Brad Garrett, Kirstie Alley, Camryn Manheim, Nathan and David Osmond, Kristoff St. John, Sinbad, Mickey Dolenz, Stefanie Schaeffer, and Tom Kenny. Poker pros scheduled to attend include Jennifer Harman, Todd Brunson, Men and Van Nguyen, Sammy Farha, Kristy Gazes, Marco Traniello, Kenna James, Marsha Waggoner, and Barbara Enright. And Mary Jones will be conducting a boot camp seminar prior to the tournament.

All proceeds will go to benefit a special project of the Los Angeles Police Department Devonshire PALS division – the Councilman Greig Smith LAPD Devonshire Area Youth Center. PALS is an organization that works to deter gang activity and prevent crime in the North San Fernando Valley area of L.A. The group has been providing after-school and weekend activities for more than 30 years to teach teens and at-risk children about building strong, positive relationships between them and the LAPD.

More information about the tournament and PALS, in addition to access to tickets and Monte Carlo Night information, can be found at www.devonshire-pals.org or by calling (818) 882-7336.
