faces in monitorThe second season of Poker After Dark on NBC will wrap up with its final week of shows beginning November 12th. Producers saved the biggest lineup for last, as the table will feature six of the greatest players in the game - Chris Ferguson, Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Harman, Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, and Howard Lederer.

Hosted by Shana Hiatt, the last week of Poker After Dark will see each of the six players buy-in for the $120,000, all of which will be awarded the winner of the single-table event. The show airs Monday through Friday at 2:05am, with the winner being crowned on Friday, then a special episode - the Director's Cut - airs on Saturday night at 1:00am, immediately after Saturday Night Live in most parts of the country. The Director's Cut will show some of the best moments of poker from the week, along with player interviews and behind-the-scenes' moments.

When the poker game begins, fans will notice that Hansen and Hellmuth were ready to gamble, as Hansen laid Hellmuth 4.5:1 odds for $20,000 that Hellmuth would not win. This adds an extra $90,000 incentive for Hellmuth to play his best game. According to his blog, he noted, "I don't care who is in the heat, I'm never even a four-to-one dog in a six-handed no-limit hold'em heat, ever! So, I bet $20,000 on myself, and I called Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson , trying to make them some money. They both bet $10,000 on me to win with Gus, and the match was on." Hellmuth had additional incentive to win the tournament, as he is the only one at the table without a Poker After Dark victory under his belt. So if the action and drama at the table wasn't enough, the extra bets going around should make for even more excitement.

It has been confirmed that the third season of Poker After Dark has already been filmed and is in post-production. Those episodes are scheduled to begin airing in January of 2008 with 10 matches, making for 10 weeks of brand new late-night poker programming. In the meantime, the week of November 12th will close out the second season with a poker game that fans will not want to miss.
