Thirty-two year old quantum physicist Michael Binger has moved his theories to poker and it’s working out rather well for him. He is dominating the tournament circuit with eight cashes in last year’s WSOP, a win in the $1500 LAPC event, then 2nd in the Foxwoods $2000 event and another big win at the Bellagio World Championship in the $5000 NLH event.

When you take all of the World Series of Poker Main Event Champions that we have already covered (1970-1985), Bill Smith may be the lesser known of them all. In the grand scheme of things, being a poker player, and a relatively unknown one, might not be such a bad thing.

We’ve had Doyle Brunson, Thomas "Amarillo Slim" Preston, Brian "Sailor" Roberts, Bobby Baldwin, and Johnny Moss – a collection of the biggest names in poker that have helped shape the game into what it is today.

Where are They Now is a series of an in depth look at all poker players - not just the pros - as they travel through one long game. Some of the players profiled here are obviously deceased. There are enough stories about the poker legend Johnny Moss to fill a book. In fact, there are already two about him.
