Go to the World Team Championship of Poker with Duplicate

There are plenty of games out there that we’re used to seeing played with teams. Things like basketball, volleyball, football, and even games like charades and euchre are all played with teams. However, one game that is not commonly played with a team is definitely poker (unless you’re cheating). Poker is almost always an every person for their self type of game – especially when there’s money on the line.

But Duplicate Poker sees things a little differently from the rest of the world in that they do believe poker can be a team game and they’re going to showcase this concept in the World Team Championship tournament. This competition seeks to determine just who the best Duplicate players are in a team setting and begins in September and ends in November.

In order to have a chance to be a part of this historic team tournament, you first need to download Duplicate Poker using the POKERWORKS bonus code so that you not only get $3 FREE but the 100% deposit bonus up to $350 as well. After completing the download and signup phase, one just needs to start playing at Duplicate Poker in order to earn a team spot.

The players who accumulate the most points on the Duplicate leader boards before September 14th, in tournaments and Sit & Go’s, will qualify for a chance to get on a World Championship team. The weekly leader boards are what will determine who will move on in the competition. Basically any player who places in the top six at the end of a weekly leader board race will be sent an e-mail asking if they will compete in the September qualifying tournament.

In all, 180 players will make it to the September qualifying tournament, or regional, and 36 of them will go on to land a spot on one of the six World Team Championship squads. The teams will each represent a geographical region such as Central US, Western/Southern US, Midwest US, Northeast US, Europe, and the International Team.

Once the teams have been comprised, all competing players will be invited to the location where the World Team Championship will be held. The tournament follows an elimination format with a quarterfinal round (four top teams advance), semifinal round, and a championship round.

The conclusion of this inaugural World Team Championship will see a total of $120,000 worth of prize money handed out. The following format will be used to distribute the prize money:

1st place team: $35,000
2nd place team: $24,500
3rd place team: $17,500
4th place team: $14,000
5th place team: $10,000
6th place team: $7,000

Besides all of the prize money that will be given out, players also have a chance to become part of history in the first ever World Team Championship which only sweetens the deal.
