PokerStars.tv Launches With a Free Roll Added
Finally, there's some poker on TV that isn't yet another all-in race of a pair of 6s against A-K.
PokerStars just announced the launch of its own TV station - and, no, you won't find "Rounders" marathons on it.
What you will find is highlights from the most important and richest poker tournaments from around the world at PokerStars.tv
That's fun, but you'll also be able to see top pros in action, following their progress throughout the year in these huge tournaments and how they got their big stacks.
You can search for specific poker hands and see how they've been played by those top players in major tournaments. Just enter a hand, like A-K, and you can watch how it was played in all kinds of different situations.
Cardrunners and other sites charge hundreds for that information. Now PokerStars TV is offering it for free.
That's right. Free.
There are more than 1,500 clips on the site. That equals 90 hours of material.
Cameras will follow the Team PokerStars pros, and many are the top tournament players in the world, like Daniel Negreanu and Barry Greenstein, who made like 278 final tables at this year's World Series of
Poker.The cameras will go beyond the poker, too, if you're into that sort of thing, and will follow the pros into clubs, bars and on the streets of whatever city they are playing.
