As clearspine reflected after being knocked out of the tournament, "I'm sure Dr. Pauly willPokerWorks be blogging the final results. I'll pick them up there." Much to everyone’s disappointment, I’ll be reporting the events after the fact. Pauly is welcome to live blog and play in our future tournaments, invitation extended, Pauly.

To some, the small field that came together to compete in this tournament might have been disappointing but it was a great turnout and a lot of fun. The buy-in was $5 + $0.50 and the tournament was hosted at PokerStars. Ten players came together to vie for the bragging rights and a few $$.

Table 1:

Seat 2: PokerWorks
Seat 3: grupper
Seat 6: KleberAA
Seat 7: Ken.P
Seat 8: clearspine

Table 2:

Seat 4: ColdBryan
Seat 5: GUAZZELLI
Seat 6: PokerHack07
Seat 8: yestbay1

The tournament started with nine players and at hand #17 jbharshaw took seat #3 at Table 2, putting the total at 10 players.

On hand #40, limit 7 card stud, antes 10; Ken.P brought it in for $50 with the 3. clearspine completed to $100 with the Q ♣. grupper called showing 7♠, KleberAA called with the 10 and Ken.P called.

KleberAA was high on 4th street showing 10-Q and bet $100. Ken.P called showing 3-4♣. grupper was in also, his board showing 6♠-10. clearspine folded.

Fifth street found grupper folding after catching the 8 and KleberAA bet $200 with a board showing 10-Q-A. Ken.P called with 3-4♣-5♣. Sixth Street gave KleberAA the Q and he bet $200. Ken.P showed no fear as he called with the 2. On the River KleberAA bet $200, going all-in and Ken.P called. KleberAA showed down J♠-7-10-Q-A-Q-2 and Ken.P won with a straight, his board showing A-2♠-3-4♣-5♣-2-4.

The tournament 10 became the one table of nine. ColdBryan overused the word ‘donk’. Everyone appeared to be having a great time as the chat box was lit up with nonsense like:

clearspine said, "ken, who did you pay off?"
Ken.P said, "i wrote the software. super user account"
clearspine said, "forgot about your superuser status"

yestbay1 was next to go, taken out by GUAZZELLA in 7 card stud, finishing in 9th place.

More chat:

clearspine said, "just had dinner delivered by my loving wife"
PokerHack07 said, "ur spoiled clear"
clearspine said, "grilled lamb and asparagus, with salad fresh picked from our garden"
PokerWorks said, "wow!"
PokerWorks said, "what a woman."
Ken.P said, "her boy friend must be out of town"

PokerWorks
busted on hand #58, taken out by Ken.P during 7 card stud h/l.

Hand #62 found ColdBryan leaving at the hands of GUAZZELLA. GUAZZELLA showed A♣-J and ColdBryan was outkicked with his J♣-K♠ when the board showed 3♣-3-J-2♣-2 during the $200-400 Holdem round.

grupper went next on hand #66, taken out by Ken.P when grupper held 9♠-9 against Ken.P’s K-Q♠ on a board that came 6♠-J♠-6♣-6-K. Perhaps clearspine is right, Ken.P did pay someone off.

Clearspine made an Ace high flush in Omaha 8 or better when he held A-10♠-Q-K♣ but it was no good. PokerHack07 sent him to the rail when she showed down J-K-J♣-6♣ on a board of 5-9♣-3-9♠-9.

Jbharshaw
went all-in at least four times and managed to prevail. PokerHack07 and GUAZZELLI were chip leaders holding almost identical amounts at over $5K as Ken.P dropped dangerously down to 651 at the start of hand #87, Razz. Ken.P won the hand all-in against jbharshaw, putting him back in contention. The chips counts looked like this:

Seat 1: PokerHack07 - 5365 in chips
Seat 4: GUAZZELLI - 5964 in chips
Seat 6: jbharshaw - 1929 in chips
Seat 7: Ken.P - 1742 in chips

Hand #91 claimed jbharshaw’s tournament life for the evening. It was 400-800 limit Razz and he didn’t have a lot of room to maneuver with a 40 ante and a $200 bring-in. jbharshaw bet $209 all-in on 5th street and was called by Ken.P. jbharshaw showed down a losing 7♣-9-6-5♠-6♣-5-Q to Ken.P’s A-2♠-4♣-9♣-Q♠-A♣-3. You just can’t trust these superusers.

Hand #99 was the superuser, Ken.P’s demise. The chip stacks looked like this:

Seat 1: PokerHack07 - 9725 in chips
Seat 4: GUAZZELLI - 4564 in chips
Seat 7: Ken.P - 711 in chips

Ken.P was high with the 8 and forced to open the bet for 200. PokerHack07 folded. GUAZZELLI raised to 400 with 3 and Ken.P called. GUAZZELLI bet 400 on 4th street after catching the 6♣ and Ken.P called 271 all-in with 2. GUAZZELLI showed the 8♠-4♣-3-6♣-9♣-Q♠-5 to beat ken.P’s 2♠-6-8-2-9-J♣-J. Ken.P took home 3rd place bragging rights and $10. Congratulations Ken!

It was only two hands later at hand #101, 7 card stud, level 600/1200 that PokerHack07 had GUAZZELLI doubled in chips. The chip stacks looked like this:

Seat 1: PokerHack07 - 10045 in chips
Seat 4: GUAZZELLI - 4955 in chips

Chat from the rail: clearspine [observer] said, "guazzelli, please save us from Glenda bragging about this for the next two weeks"

PokerHack07 opened for 300 with the 10. GUAZZELLI raised to 600 with the Q. PokerHack07 called.

Fourth street gave PokerHack07 the 8 and GUAZZELLI the 9♣. GUAZZELLI bet 600 and PokerHack07 called.

Fifth Street gave PokerHack07 the Q♠ and GUAZZELLI the 5♣. PokerHack07 checked, GUAZZELLI bet 1200, PokerHack07 called.

Sixth Street found GUAZZELLI betting when he caught 1200 the J. PokerHack07 drew the 6♣ and called the bet.

The River brought a 1200 bet from GUAZZELLI and PokerHack07 called.

Showdown:
GUAZZELLI: 7-7♠-Q-9♣-5♣-J-6♠
PokerHack07 J-A-10-8-Q♠-6♣-Q♣

PokerHack07 collected a 9720 pot and GUAZZELLI said, "omg"

GUAZZELLI had 95 left in chips, on hand #102 he anteed 60 and opened the bet for 35. PokerHack07 obviously called.

GUAZZELLI showed 9-3♣-K-8♠-A♣-5-2♣
PokerHack07 showed 4-10♠-K♠-6-J♠-7♠-6♠

Taking home $15.00 and 2nd place – now an internationally known tournament player from Brazil - congratulations, GUAZZELLI!

Chasing Chris Ferguson’s
own PokerHack07 deserves a big round of applause for being the last woman standing at the first PokerWork’s H.O.R.S.E. tournament and her win of $25.00 and most importantly, bragging rights. Congratulations, PokerHack!

*This tournament will be an ongoing tournament, held every two weeks until further notice. Please check the PokerWorks Forum for updates. Everyone is welcome to attend.*
