The Round Table – Jennifer ‘Jennecide’ Leigh Shares a Couple Words about her World
She’s always doing something interesting in poker and Jennifer never fails to attract attention to
what she’s up to. Recently she posed for Playboy magazine and almost played the WSOP Main Event in her underwear. Now she stops by The Round Table. KL: People always are so curious how females get into poker - how did you?
Jennifer: I just got involved in the gaming industry by association. I've always been into video games and card games.
KL: You are friends with a lot of players - what is the most important thing someone has even said to you about poker that has stuck with you?
Jennifer: "Don't hate the player, hate the game!"
KL: What are your thoughts on poker being a business just as much as a game these days?
Jennifer: I am not just into the poker business. I like the music, arts and entertainment industry just as much.
KL: How important do you think it is to market yourself in the poker world now?
Jennifer: There are certainly more things in life than only grinding it out at the tables every day.
KL: What happened with the WSOP in lingerie?
Jennifer: I figured it would be too cold. Plus, I drank way too many energy drinks that morning so it was a bad interview.
KL: How much of an asset is it to be a female player playing against men - how do you use that to your advantage?
Jennifer: It's an asset being a woman in life, period. Being a natural flirt is just something that I was blessed to have, although it can be quite misconceived at times.
KL: How do you handle all of the gossip that comes with being involved in the poker world?
Jennifer: I don't think people realize how much I laugh gossip off. Sometimes I get a little snappy when something pisses me off but I can laugh it off right away afterwards. Poker is a witty game anyway.
KL: Tell me about Playboy - how did that come about?
Jennifer: It was a mutual agreement to pose. It took me a few days to consider.
KL: Are you still playing, live or online?
Jennifer: At this time, I am enjoying my life and have been. There are many events that I am looking forward to playing. I can't wait to start traveling again!
KL: Any future poker plans?
Jennifer: Winning an event would be cool but as long as I am traveling to new places and experiencing life to its fullest, than I could care less if I win or lose. To me, life is an adventure.
