Poker Stars from around the world descended on the Crown Casino in Melbourne, including Kenna James, 2007 World Series of Poker bracelet winner Jeffrey Lisandro and Jimmy ‘gobboboy’ Fricke, the runner-up from the 2007 Aussie Millions Main Event. Play resumed at 2 p.m. with 14 players. Four players were eliminated in the first 45 minutes and they are now setting up the final table of 10. Ronald Brown was eliminated in 14th place which was good for $2,167. David Gibraltar was eliminated in 13th place also good for $2,167. The Motor City Casino will host the second Charity Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament featuring members of the Detroit Red Wings hockey team. A poker tournament will be held on January 19, 2008 in Parker, Colorado to benefit the Parker Sky Sox youth baseball clubs. The event is scheduled to raise funds to help with the cost of equipment, uniforms, travel, and registration fees.The new Black Bear Golf Club in Parker will be the location of the tournament that will run from 5pm to 11pm, though registration will begin at 4:30pm.
