A hundred-dollar bill.

Call


Matching the bet amount.

Call Cold


To call both a bet and raise

Caller


A player who mostly calls. A weak player.

Calling Station


A player who invariably calls, and is therefore hard to bluff out

Cap


In limit games, the limit on the number of raises in a round of betting.

Capping a Raise


A third and final raise.

Cardroom


A room or space in a casino where poker is played.

Cards Speak


Your hand is the most favorable possible combination of cards, no matter how you call it.

Case Card


The fourth and last card of a particular rank to become available.

Case Chips


Player's last chips.

Cash In


To leave the game and convert one's chips to cash, either with the dealer or at the cage.

Cash Out


To leave a game and convert chips into cash.

Catch Bluffing


To win a hand by calling or raising to someone who is bluffing. To catch a bluffing player

Center Pot


The main pot.

Change Gears


To change the style of play.

Chase


To play a weak hand.

Cheater


A player who intentionally violates the rules to gain advantage over other players.

Check


To abstain from betting, reserving the right to call or raise if another player bets. Also another name for a chip.

Check Blind


To check without looking at one's own cards.

Check-Raise


When a player first checks and then raises in a betting round.

Cheese


A very weak starting hand.

Chip


A round token used in place of cash at a gaming table.

Chop


To return the blinds to the players who posted them and move on to the next hand if no other players call. It also means to "split the pot".

Cinch Hand


The nuts. A very strong hand that most likely can't be beaten.

Coffeehousing


Talking about your hand with the hope of misleading your opponents. Same as bluffing.

Cold Call


To call more than one bet in a single action.

Cold Deck


A cheater's deck of cards.

Cold Hands


a) Showdown hands. b) A sequence of weak hands.

Collection


The fee charged for a game.

Collection Drop


A fee charged for each hand dealt.

Come Hand


A drawing hand.

Come Over the Top


To raise or re-raise another player's bet.

Community cards


Cards that are turned face up in the middle of the table, and which belong to all players still in the game.

Comp Program


A loyalty reward program usually offered by online poker rooms.

Complete Hand


A hand that is defined by all five cards - a straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, or straight flush.

Complete the Bet


To increase an all-in bet or forced bet to a full bet in limit poker.

Concealed Pair


A pair both of which cards are face down

Connector


A starting hand in Texas Hold'em where the two cards dealt are subsequent in rank.

Conservative


A player who tends to bet only with a strong hand.

Conservative Play


A style of playing when a player tends to bet strong hands exclusively.

Counterfeit


To make your hand less valuable because of other board cards that duplicate it.

Court Card


A jack, a queen or king.

Cowboys


Two Kings.

Crack


To beat a strong hand.

Cranberry


A player who calls against the odds.

Crap Shoot


Trounaments with a weak player base.

Cripple the Deck


To have the best possible cards.

Crying Call


To complain while calling.

Cut It Up


To split the pot after a showdown.

Cut the Cards


Putting the bottom cards of a deck on top of it.

Cut the Deck


To divide the deck into 2 even stacks.

Cut The Pot


To take the rake from players.

Cut-Card


A bottom card.
