In flop games, the final round of betting and the fifth community card on the board; in stud games, the fifth card dealt to each player and the third betting round (on the third upcard).
Five-card Draw
A poker game in which the player is dealt five cards down. They have one draw to replace them and the best high hand wins the pot.
Five-card Stud
A poker game in which each player is dealt five cards, one down and four up, with betting after 2, 3, 4, & 5 cards.
Flat Call
To call a bet without raising.
Flop
In flop games, the first three community cards, which are turned face up simultaneously and start the second round of betting.
Flop Games
Poker games (Hold 'em and Omaha) that are played using community cards that are dealt face up in the center of the table.
Floorman
An employee of the cardroom who makes rulings and decisions.
Flush
Any five cards of the same suit.
Flush Draw
When a player has four cards in his hand of the same suit and is hoping to draw a fifth to make a flush.
Fold
To withdraw from the hand rather than bet or raise; to give up
Forced Bet
A required bet that starts the action on the first round of a poker hand.
Four of a Kind
Four cards of the same number or face value ("quads").
Fourth Street
In flop games, it is the fourth community card dealt (also known as "the turn") and represents the third round of betting. In Stud games, it is the fourth card dealt to each player and represents the second round of betting.
Free Card
A card that a player gets without having to call a bet
Full House
Any three cards of the same number or face value, plus any pair of a different denomination
Full Buy
The minimum amount of chips required for a particular game.
Full Tub
Three of a kind with another pair.
Freeze-Out
A game which continues until a small number of players, preferably one, have all the money in play.
Full Barn
Slang for Full House.
Full Boat
Slang for Full House.
Four Flush
Four cards to a Flush.
Freeroll
A tournament with no entry fee.
Foul Hand
A hand containing the wrong number of cards.
Foul
A hand which may not be played.
Force-In
A mandatory blind bet.
Flat Limit
A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
Flop a Set
Holding a pocket pair and catching a third card of the same denomination on the Flop.
Flashed Card
A card that is partially exposed.
Fixed Limit
A limit which is maximum for a bet in a Limit Poker game.
Flash
Five cards of the same suit.
Five of a Kind
Five cards of the same value.
Fish
A weak, losing player.
Fishhooks
Slang for Jacks.
Fill Up
To draw a card which fills a Full House.
Fill
To draw a card that makes a five-card combination (a straight, flush, full house, or a straight flush).
Fast
An aggressive style of play.
Family Pot
A pot in which all the players call before the flop.
False Openers
A hand that was opened without meeting the opening requirements.
False Cut
A cheat when the deck appears to be cut, but the stacked amount of cards remains unchanged at the top.
Facecard
A King, Queen, or a Jack.
Fraternity
