Bon Bini - Welcome to Aruba!

Six hundred-forty seven players entered the fourth annual Ultimate Poker Classic Tournament Championship event held in Aruba. Three hundred-forty eight winners qualified on line for the $5,000+200 buy-in into the main event. The number of entrants this year broke last year’s record - by one player!

The Radisson Resort and Casino geared up to accommodate all tournament play for the second year in a row as ‘name brand’ players flooded through the door to try and best Online qualifiers and other entrants that bought into the main event. The ‘name brand’ players were scattered throughout the field on all three ‘day one‘ flights: Phil Ivey, Jennifer Tilley, Erik Seidel, Barry Greenstein, Mike Matusow, Layne Flack, Robert Williamson III, Annie Duke, Phil Laak, Phil Helmuth, Scotty Nguyen, Men Nguyen, Michael Mizrachi, John Phan, Chip and Karina Jett, Kristy Gazes, Clonie Gowan, Marsha Waggoner, and too many more to list. All three past champions were at the tables - Eric Lindgren, Erik Brenes, and Juha Helppi.

The main event - September 26th - is held in three ‘day one’ flights, with the tournament running through eight blind levels each day. On the fourth day - September 29th - the survivors of each flight redraw for seat and table assignments and play continues until eventually there are six players left. Those six players play for the championship in front of the camera - in a World Poker Tour event that will be aired at a later date.

During the main event, continuous satellites are running for $500+$40 NLH and $1,000+$60 NLH tournament events.

There is plenty of live poker action at the three casinos that have poker rooms on the island: The Radisson Casino and Poker room , the Excelsior Poker Room in the Holiday Inn, and the Casablanca Casino and Poker room in the Wyndham.

Ultimate Bet hosts a Welcome Banquet for Online Package winners (shortly after arrival) and also hosts an Awards Banquet (after the final event) providing players with the ‘ultimate’ get-a-way and plenty of poker action on sunny Aruba. Do not miss next year’s event and other opportunities to enhance your bankroll and play with other players around the world…
