Freddie Deeb pulled in the Big Bucks, $1,000,000 (which includes a $25,000 buy-in into the World Poker Tour Championship event hosted at the Bellagio Five Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada, in April 2006) after a short heads-up battle with Josh Schlein.
The Main Event began on September 26th with three - day one - flights. Freddie ranked 24th in chip standings, at the finish of all flights for Day One, with a field of 240 contestants. Play continued through the next two days until there were six players left. They met at the Azzurro Restaurant for the final battle, a six and a half hour shoot out that left them all winner.
The event paid 125 places. The results of skill, wit, tenacity, and bravado netted a well earned pay day for the final six:
