Hollywood Park will be the first casino in California to offer PokerPro tables to its customers with the new room. According to releases from PokerTek, the Matthews, NC company that created the PokerPro tables, PokerProTM is the first-ever automated poker table that combines the speed and accuracy of online poker with the player interaction and strategy of traditional poker. Players will benefit from the fact that PokerPro deals almost 50% more hands per hour vs. hand-dealt games with the added benefit that there are no dealers to tip.
Hollywood Park's new room will also feature Monday Night Football events with local Xtra Sports AM 570 radio personalities Vic "The Brick" Jacobs and "The Loose Cannons". The pre-game show begins every Monday at noon and ends with a poker tournament. Tuesday is Ladies' Night with drink specials and cult classic movies.
In addition to limit and no-limit cash games and no-limit tournaments on these nights, players will also compete for free tournament buy-ins, Pro Bowl tickets and a chance to go heads-up on PokerProTM with pros like Phil "The Unabomber" Laak and Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari.
