Mansion Closes Doors to US Players

Mansion Poker, home of the $100,000 guarantee daily tournament with huge overlays and sponsor of the Mansion Poker Dome TV show, has closed its doors to US players as of January 30, 2007. Mansion had ceased allowing US players to deposit to their accounts several weeks ago, but this final move has ceased play on Mansion for US customers.

Mansion had become known as home of the overlays after the launch of a recent daily $100,000 guarantee tournament was reaching only about 50% of the players needed to meet the guarantee. With the recent UIGEA legislation and the reduction in funding options for US players, Mansion has followed poker rooms such as Party Poker, Paradise Poker and InterPoker in stopping service to US customers.

Mansion's sports book functions are also cut off to US customers, a big move in the week leading up to the Super Bowl, traditionally the largest single sporting event for bettors in the year. This follows the move by leading online sports book Pinnacle Sports to exit the US market in early January.

Mansion customers can contact a customer support telephone number provided on their login screen to transfer their money to non-US customers or come to other arrangements for withdrawal of funds from Mansion.
