The World Series of Poker Academy is getting in touch with its feminine side this June 8 & 9 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, with a two-day instructional seminar for women poker players culminating in a tournament to award 10 seats into the $1,000 buy-in WSOP Ladies Event.

The seminar will include workshops from WSOP bracelet winner Annie Duke, one of the most recognizable women in the poker world, as well as former FBI agent turned author Joe Navarro, and respected poker teacher Alex "The Insider" Outhred.

"From friendly home games to casino card rooms to the biggest poker tournaments, more women are playing poker than ever before, and now there is a poker camp just for them," said Jeff Goldenberg, whose
company, Post Oak Productions, produces the WSOP Academy. "Our ladies-only academy will offer a fun yet highly informative environment where players can learn first-hand from the best minds in poker and
gain the confidence and skills they need to be a threat at the table."

"This first-of-its-kind camp will also feature a unique curriculum guided by Annie Duke, arguably the best woman tournament poker player in the world, and a new seminar from poker tells expert Joe Navarro
that focuses on female-specific non-verbal behavior," Goldenberg added.

Navarro is the author of Phil Hellmuth Presents Read 'Em and Reap: A Career FBI Agent's Guide to Decoding Poker Tells, the popular new book on reading people at the poker table. The former FBI agent has made quite a stir in the past few years lecturing on physical tells at the poker table, following in the footsteps of "Crazy" Mike Caro and his legendary Caro's Book of Poker Tells.

In addition to receiving instruction from world-class players and teachers, the camp's participants will have a chance to compete in a live No Limit Texas Hold Em tournament, with ten seats in the WSOP $1,000 buy-in Ladies Event up for grabs. The cost for the two-day seminar is $1,699, and registration can be done online at the WSOP Academy website.

"The camp's tournament will be a great way for our participants to put into action what they've learned over the two days and perhaps extend their stay in Las Vegas a little longer so they can compete in
the most prestigious poker tournament in the world, the World Series of Poker," said Goldenberg.

The WSOP Academy events put emphasis on poker education and interaction with the pros and fellow attendees. Events are comprised of poker seminars, interactive workshops and the opportunity to apply what you've learned in a No Limit Texas Hold'em tournament with the pros. The WSOP Academy is created by Post Oak Productions (creator of the popular Camp Hellmuth Poker Training Camps) and Harrah's Entertainment and features classes by Phil Hellmuth, Jr., Greg Raymer and Scott Fischman, all WSOP bracelet holders. Not purely tournament-based, the Academy promises to help attendees improve in all aspects of their game.
