Absolute Poker has announced the addition of Jackpot Tables to their poker site. These tables feature a Bad Beat Jackpot which lets players turn their bad beat stories into cold hard cash! Player CALVINHOBBES hit the bad beat Jackpot on July 11th when he made quad aces and lost to a Royal Flush. CALVINHOBBES lost the pot, but took down a share of the jackpot worth $162,628!

Absolute is the only room that allows US players with a Bad Beat Jackpot, and the jackpot is growing every hand! In a bad beat jackpot, the player that takes the bad beat gets the lion's share of the jackpot, while the winner of the hand takes a smaller piece and all the other players at the table also get a share. So sign up for Absolute Poker today and turn your bad beats into good times!

The Jackpot only applies to the special Jackpot tables, and not all bad beats apply. To qualify, a player must make Quad 8s or higher and lose, while both the winner and loser use both their hole cards to make their hand. The jackpot builds until someone hits a qualifying hand, then 65% of the jackpot is distributed among players in the hand. 25% stays as seed money for the next jackpot, and 10% goes to rake. The bad beat money is distributed like this -
• The loser of the hand - ie. the bad beat victim - will take 50% of the prize
• The winner of the hand will take 25% of the prize
• The rest of the players seated at the table will share the remaining 25%

In the hand that CALVINHOBBES won, that translated into over $20K just for watching someone take a bad beat! So visit Absolute Poker and get in on your piece of the Jackpot!
