Fight for your Right to Play!

With Congress in recess in August, the time is ripe to get poker in front of your legislators' faces. As they come home to state and county fairs and town meetings, you have a great opportunity to get their attention and tell them that you support legislation that clarifies federal law and preserves your legal ability to play poker online.

The PPA has gotten commitments from over 40 US Representatives to support H.R. 2046, the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act and H.R. 2610, the Skill Game Protection Act, but more needs to be done to make sure that online poker is protected and stays legal. By following these simple steps, you can do your part to keep the PPA's message in the foreground of the Representative's thoughts while they're out glad-handing this summer!

1) Get the phone number of your U.S. Representative's hometown office

2) Call to ask when and where town meetings and other events are taking place in the month of August.

3) Go to one of these events and bring your fellow poker players. Tell your U.S. Representative that poker is not a crime and to co-sponsor H.R. 2046 and H.R. 2610 when they return to Washington. Let them know that you will support them if they support the rights of law-abiding poker players.

You can join the PPA and be an August Advocate! Put your feet on the ground and protect your ability to put your chips in play!
