One of the most anticipated series of tournaments on the poker circuit begins at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles - the 2007 California State Poker Championship. In the world's largest poker room, hold'em tournaments began on Tuesday, September 4th and culminate in a $2,590 main event on September 22nd. There will be a total of 19 events.

This year's events will feature the following:

-Turbo no-limit hold'em six-handed event on September 12th
-Ladies no-limit hold'em event on September 15th, featuring a prize of a $1,060 entry to the Ladies event at the 2008 L.A. Poker Classic
-Guaranteed $250,000 prize pool for the $335 no-limit events on September 9th and 16th
-Two $540 super satellites on September 21st for 40 entries into the main event

All events are open to players over the age of 21, and California residency is not required. All start times prior to September 21st are 7pm unless otherwise noted, and events with more than 100 participants will be two-day tournaments.
