Name: Jon Friedberg

Date of birth: 8/2/1974

Place of birth: Philadelphia

Currently residing: Las Vegas

Favorite song to listen to before tournament that gets you pumped up: anything by Deftones

Craziest prop bet: I bet someone $5000 that if we both left my house the same time from Las Vegas and he flew on a plane and I drove that I could beat him to the Bicycle Casino. I won by at least 30 minutes.

Favorite places to travel: Europe

What do you like to do in your spare time: I do a lot of traveling, I also go to the gym a lot, take yoga and Pilates classes, spend time with friends and shop.

Any celebrity crushes: Gary Coleman and Claudia Schiffer

If you weren't playing poker, what career would you have: I would be working as an entrepreneur. I would be starting up companies.

What is something no one knows about you: I can slam dunk a basketball

Favorite movie: Casino

Hobbies: Travel, exercise, try new restaurants, snowboarding

Describe yourself in three words: ambitious, resourceful, sarcastic

What are you most proud of in your life: I would have to say winning my World Series of Poker bracelet

What is your favorite smell: Barbeque grilled food

Favorite taste: Coffee ice cream

Favorite sound: The opposite of a child crying on an airplane

Biggest impulse purchase: My house...I saw it and that day I put an offer in without even looking at other homes

When you aren't in a tournament, what are you doing day to day: Exercise, eat, go out with my friends

What do you spend your money on:
Shoes, cars, clothes, food

How many tournaments do you play a year:
15 to 20 WSOP and 15 to 20 WPT events and then online I play hundreds

How do you celebrate when you make a big score, either tournaments, cash, online or live:
I like to buy myself something, usually I will buy myself a watch. My biggest score I bought myself a car and a watch. I collect watches but for every decent cash, $20,000 win and higher, I usually get myself a new watch. I will also take my friends out and get a bottle somewhere. I also put a lot of money away; I do quite a bit of investing.

What are you up to now:
This has been my come out year on the tournament circuit...I usually play a handful of events but now I have launched my self on the tournament and I am just trying to establish myself as a recognized player in the industry. I am also looking for startup opportunities on the side in addition to poker, in my off time.

WSOP Bracelets: 1

Times he fell just short of a World Poker Tour TV final table: 2
