WPT Recruits Help With Player Base

The force behind the World Poker Tour, WPT Enterprises Inc., has recruited Andy Goetsch, the former Cryptologic Vice-President of Poker Software Development. With over 21 years of gaming experience, Goetsch has been hired as the new Executive Vice President of Online Gaming. Among other achievements, while with Cryptologic, Groetsch was instrumental with helping start the WorldPokerTour.com.

Being a poker player himself, Goetsch's gaming experience should pay off in his new position, where he will help build a larger player base and increase revenue for The World Poker Tour.

Also working with Goetsch will be Rohin Malhotra, who has been hired as the new Managing Director of International Sales and Marketing. Using the knowledge he gained from his days as the Executive Advisor for Fox Sports, Malhotra will be focused on using television and other multimedia to build the WPT's name and presence.

Both men will be teaming up to help the WPT not only build its player base, but to gain new players for the WPT website.

Steve Lipscomb, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer for WPT, had this to say about his new hires, "Andy and Rohin's incredible experience inside and outside of the poker industry are major assets that will complement the diverse professional background of the WPT management team. We realize that a healthy and successful business works from the inside out, which is why we continually focus resources toward hiring the best in the business so that we can remain the best in the poker industry."
